As a Mobile Telescopic Crane Operator at Sarens UK, you’ll safely execute complex lifting operations across industrial and infrastructure projects. Based from our Grangemouth and Glasgow depots, you’ll operate modern telescopic cranes, prepare lifts with precision, and take full ownership of your equipment and safety. You work independently on site, but never alone – supported by Team Blue’s planning, engineering and depot teams. This is a hands‑on role for professionals who take pride in their craft and rise to every challenge.
Your Job In a Nutshell:
- Operate mobile telescopic cranes safely and independently on a wide range of UK projects.
- Assemble, configure and dismantle telescopic cranes in line with manufacturer instructions.
- Prepare and execute lifting operations using lifting plans, load charts and permits.
- Inspect routes, sites and weather conditions before mobilisation and lifts.
- Load and unload crane parts and operate auxiliary equipment such as tele‑handlers.
- Carry out daily checks, first‑line and preventive maintenance.
- Keep equipment clean, safe and fully operational at all times.
- Complete maintenance checklists and work records accurately and on time.
- Report damage, irregularities and improvement opportunities.
- Work in close coordination with the planning supervisor and depot operations team.
