Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Laborer / Welder to join our production team. This hands‑on role supports standard laborer duties, general welding, repair work, and production operations in a mechanical manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify basic component parts and follow established work procedures.
  • Accurately and legibly complete production documents on time.
  • Understand and follow general quality requirements.
  • Grind, clean, and inspect welds.
  • Repair cracks and fill holes as needed.
  • Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated ferrous components according to instructions.
  • Use tools and welding equipment in a mechanical/technical setting.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, safe work practices, and established company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent manufacturing experience/training.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of welding experience preferred.
  • Stick and MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Welding certification preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret quality requirements, work instructions, procedures, production schedules, measurements, shipping and receiving documents, and tagging.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions.
  • Ability to multitask, work under time constraints, meet deadlines, identify problems, and resolve issues efficiently.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle, feel, and operate tools or materials.
  • Regular ability to talk and hear in a production environment.
  • Occasional sitting.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Indoor industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Exposure to wet, hot, or humid conditions that are not weather‑related.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • Noise level may occasionally be loud.

This is an in‑person position and is not remote.
