A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Two (2) years of mechanical experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment repair.
A valid Florida Class "B" Commercial Driver’s License with a Tanker endorsement within six (6) months from the time of hire.
A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Complete and maintain a minimum of two (2) ASE/EVT certifications.
Ability to obtain Hazmat certification.
Certification/experience in basic welding.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Potential higher pay for those with multiple years of experience - Pinkney Fire Shop (Station 20, Sarasota) location exclusive has an extra $2.00/hour incentive pay after the successful completion of the probationary period.
