We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior / Womenswear Designer across Fashion Jersey (Casual) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in women's jersey design, a keen eye for trends, colour and print and the ability to translate these into commercially successful ranges. As a Womenswear Designer, you will be responsible for creating feminine garments and sets with great attention to detail that align with the company vision and market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with design director and account managers to conceptualise and design seasonal collections.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of industry developments and consumer preferences.
  • Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and technical packs for each design.
  • Work closely with design director to select fabrics, trims, colour palettes, prints and graphics that complement the design vision and USP.
  • Work collaboratively with our customers creating initial rack ups of appropriate styling, key items, colour, print, graphics, fabric and trims. Attending customer meetings with account manager. Following through meeting notes and requests adhering to deadlines.
  • Work closely with the technical and production team to ensure designs are to our established blocks, are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fashion design, with a proven track record of creating successful collections.
  • Skills: Exceptional creativity and attention to detail, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design expertise. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs. Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textiles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
