Leisure and Sportswear Designer – Women\’s Jersey

Leading High Street Supplier – London

Full Time/Perm – Hybrid: 2-3 days wfh

My client is a major UK high street fashion supplier, leading the way with an innovative approach to fresh design, season after season. We are seeking a talented and experienced Sportswear Designer across Womenswear to join a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with design director and account managers to design seasonal collections. Select tech fabrics, colour palettes, prints and graphics that complement the design vision and USP.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of industry developments.
• Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and technical packs for each design.
• Work collaboratively with our customers creating initial rack ups of appropriate styling. Attending customer meetings with account manager, adhering to requirements and deadlines.
• Work closely with the technical and production team to ensure designs are to our established blocks, are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.

About you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with a focus in Women\’s Leisure and Sportswear
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textiles.
