Women\’s Senior Freelance Outerwear Designer Role:
Seeking a talented and creative Women\’s Senior Casual Freelance Outerwear Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing their creativity and flair for Outerwear. This role involves leading design projects from concept through to production, ensuring collections are fresh, stylish, and aligned with the inhouse style and ethos.
Women\’s Senior Freelance Outerwear Designer Responsibilities:
- Development of casual outerwear, in line with the latest trends
- Works well with a design team to conceptualise and create innovative designs for various categories including outerwear.
- Oversee the entire design process from mood boards, sketches, CADs, tech packs, fabric selection, to final garment fitting must have strong presentation skills
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure designs are executed to a high standard and cost implications
- Research new trends, fabrics, techniques, and design innovations
- Ensure product alignment with market demands and product strategy
- Mentor and guide junior designers and interns, fostering a collaborative and creative environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in womenswear fashion design
- Strong portfolio showcasing women\’s outerwear
- Proficiency in fashion design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD)
- Excellent CAD and tech pack skills in a pacey environment
- Exceptional creativity, knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction
- Strong understanding of the fashion market and consumer behaviour
- Excellent communication and teamwork, ability to lead and inspire others
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
