Plumbs Ltd is a 60-year-old, family run business selling and manufacturing a comprehensive range of bespoke soft furnishing solutions. We offer a wide range of services across the UK including sofa covers, re-upholstery, made to measure curtains and blinds.

Due to the extensive growth of our window furnishing products, we are seeking to employ a technically experienced curtain, blind, track & pole fitter to cover the areas listed above which will be geographically assigned based on post code allocation. You will report directly into our Head of Customer Services, Katie Palmer, who is the project lead for our curtain growth project. Plumbs have a dedicated window furnishing customer service team who will be on hand to support you within your role. Full training on our window products and services will be provided.

Location: Lower parts of Scotland & Northeast

Orders will be assigned based on a defined area and/or set of post codes for one or more Sales Consultants whose orders you will be fitting.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience as a Curtain and Blind Fitter
  • Previous experience of working with power tools and a variety of fixing materials
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Strong communication skills and ability to advise clients creatively and efficiently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics

  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively

Fitting services required:

  • Tracks & Poles - Straight & Bay windows (onsite track bending required)
  • Curtain Hanging & Dressing - Pencil Pleat / Pinch Pleat / Eyelet / Wave
  • Blinds - Roman & Roller
  • Manufacture of box pelmet boards using MDF or suitable alternative

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Secure storage facility for receipt of Customer goods
