ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· As part of the Kidsteps Leadership team:
o Assist in strategic planning and long-term quality initiatives for Kidsteps.
o Identify compliance factors that influence both the fiscal and mission-based elements of the program, share the factors with the leadership team, offer improvement recommendations/strategies and aid in implementation of strategies agreed upon by the leadership team.
o Actively participate, represent and advocate for Kidsteps in activities, committees and state-wide and internal meetings that relate to personnel development and quality assurance.
o Collaborate to ensure timely and complete documentation across all Kidsteps teams.
· As part of the Quality Support Team:
o Maintain the Kidsteps Information Database to ensure that procedures and materials are clear, and staff have the necessary tools to follow best practices while meeting compliance for each of the regulatory bodies.
o Develop and implement the Kidsteps Training & Supervision Plan to ensure that employees meet all regulatory and quality standards.
o Coordinate and provide standardized training for new employees, adjusting for their individual clinical and Birth to Three experience.
o Identify and address future training needs of Kidsteps at the individual, team, and programmatic level.
o Provide ongoing training related to quality assurance and electronic record management systems.
o Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain training records for staff and maintain training compliance as outlined in the CT Birth to Three contract.
o Create and implement an audit process that monitors both quality of services and the compliance factors needed to be successful as an early intervention program.
o Collect and analyze quality and compliance data, including through chart audit, SPIDER reports, observation of services, review of master coaching logs, family surveys, Quality Practice Self-Assessment (QPSA), internal quality measures and state and federal Medicaid and insurance regulations.
o Apply audit findings to drive the design of program, administrative, team, and individual improvement plans, and write/revise procedures as needed.
o Onboard/Offboard independent contractors, provide communication regarding procedural and compliance updates and reconcile their invoices.
· As a Clinician serving children and families:
o Evaluate and assess children and families to assist with and plan, develop, implement, and review curriculums and IFSPs that will meet the individual developmental needs of young children and their families.
o Performs functions of service coordinator as assigned including ensuring Kidsteps services achieve desired outcomes for families and children served and that Birth to Three services meet all standards. Complete and maintain timely and accurate records within the electronic records system.
o Provide evidence-based intervention strategies, utilizing coaching as a style of interaction with parents and caregivers to empower their active participation in early intervention services.
o Participate in revenue generating activities as defined by annual budgetary need.
· Assume other duties assigned by the Deputy Program Officer as needed.

? Knowledge of early intervention best practices, childhood development, adult learning styles, family systems, and disabilities
? Expertise in applicable federal and state regulations, including CT Birth to Three policies & procedures and Medicaid documentation standards
? Familiarity with audit practices, quality assurance methodologies and electronic record systems
? Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and compliance trends
? Competence in training/teaching adult learners with diverse learning styles
