Sarah is looking for a full-time Office Manager with a positive, can-do attitude to join her team. This role will oversee day-to-day operations and will be based in the constituency office in Chesham, with occasional travel to Westminster.
Responsibilities:
- Directly managing Sarah’s team and overseeing the HR function
- Managing Sarah’s diary and inbox
- Overseeing the efficient running of the MP office, including financial records and liaising with external agencies and Parliamentary departments
Qualifications:
- Exceptional organisational and managerial skills
- Proficient in the use of standard email applications, word processing and spreadsheet management
- Previous experience of direct line management
- Meticulous eye for detail and highly organised
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent telephone manner and ability to work well in a team
- Familiarity with casework (desirable)
- Sympathy with the philosophy and values of the Liberal Democrats (desirable)
First round interviews will be held on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th March. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible, subject to parliamentary vetting procedures.
