The predicted salary is between 50000 - 70000 £ per year.
Working for a global manufacturing engineering company, this role is to deliver outstanding products to market, from design process and facilities through to commissioning and quality maturation, bringing new products to life.
The team are responsible for all elements of Dimensional Quality, DVA of product design, define and deliver the measurement and metrology strategy, through quality maturation through to launch, safe operating of department metrology hardware, operating departmental metrology software, produce measurement data in request format (e.g. pdf, excel), investigation of part measurement issues, assist in machine verification and preventative maintenance.
Candidates will have:
- Strong mobile inspection skills
- A strong understanding of measurement principles
- Good understanding of alignments with the ability to provide inspection reports to a professionally high standard
- Ability to work with BIW & T&F parts and assemblies
- Through knowledge of GOM & Polyworks software or similar
- Competent operator in the use of GOM, articulated arms, laser trackers and Creaform system or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop new and existing processes to improve departmental performance
There will be travel to work locations across a wide range of sites, so a full driving licence is essential.
