£13.30-£17.84 PH – 36 hours – 6 months
Working within a Research & Development in Food lab, this role is to provide hands-on assistance to support the operation and goals of the laboratory by supporting experiments and projects under technical guidance.
Duties include:
- Working safely in a lab and maintaining excellent housekeeping
- Following quality procedures to meet the requirements of quality standards
- Preparing lab tasks using appropriate scientific techniques, procedures, and methods
- Performing lab tasks following specified methodologies, such as SOP
- Producing accurate data and keeping accurate records of lab work and results
- Applying scientific techniques for data presentation and statistics
- Supporting the testing team with activities such as plate counting, data recording, and appropriate entry
- Cleaning and disinfecting
Candidates will have relevant industry and/or academic experience, a desire to drive their future and accelerate their career, and the ability to work on teams and independently with guidance from more senior team members.
