Lab Technician Food Science – Reading – £16.67 PH – 6 months Working within a Food Services product development team, this role is to be responsible for carrying out practical work to support project managers to help develop new products. Duties are to ensure effective organization of assigned workload, provide high quality; samples, attend review meetings and project updates, maintain accurate records of practical work, be competent in the operation of all kitchen equipment, follow product formulations provided by project managers to produce bench scale samples to a high standard, support on pilot plant and scale trials. Work to the highest standards of safety and quality be ensuring that appropriate risk assessments, SOPs and COSHH’s are understood and followed, be responsible for general housekeeping within the development kitchen, stock control and ensuring a clean, tidy and safe working environment. Candidates will have a degree in Food Science or relevant scientific discipline, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, practical experience in a development kitchen, well organized and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently.
