We are a small, high street practice with a solid reputation within the locality for providing a friendly and personal service to clients. We pride ourselves on the level of repeat business that we attract and, across all three of our departments, each of which is run by just one fee earner, we are proud of being able to offer the traditional approach to law services that is valued by so many. Role

This is a part-time role supporting one fee earner in Residential Conveyancing. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to take calls/respond to emails and work on files on occasions when the fee earner is not present (ie one day per week). The caseload is residential sales and purchases. We do not act on any purchases involving a mortgage.

Duties:

  • Opening files, preparing retainer letters and conducting AML searches
  • Dealing with the HMLR Portal, obtaining title documents and dealing with requisitions
  • Ordering property searches
  • Drafting contract packs
  • Dealing with replies to enquiries
  • Attending on clients both by telephone and face to face
  • Assisting with incoming phone calls to the office as necessary
  • Post completion work
  • Providing cover for fee earner as necessary
