Senior Data Engineer – Power markets trading

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and discuss solutions with the Data Science team.
• Design, develop, and deploy data solutions using Python and SQL, choosing between off‑the‑shelf products or fully custom builds.
• Work closely with a Senior Software Engineer, other Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists on a high‑profile greenfield project.
• Implement and maintain cutting‑edge technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Support the team’s broader initiatives and provide expertise on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in a commercial data engineering role.
• Experience in commodities markets, ideally with short‑term power.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Docker.
