Are you a quant developer who enjoys working directly with traders and shaping real models? Here you’ll join a leading energy trading business, where technical teams work closely with the desk and have a clear impact on how day-to-day decisions get made. You’ll get to build and improve the algorithms themselves, make sure data flows, and deploy models into production.

You will have interaction with traders and analysts on a daily basis, understanding what they need and turning those requirements into tools. The team is small, genuinely collaborative, where quants, developers and traders sit together and solve problems in real time.

This role is a mix of maths, modelling and engineering - taking forecasting and optimisation ideas and turning them into tools that shape how the desk trades European power. The stack is mainly Python. SQL, Clickhouse or Azure are nice to know but not essential. What matters is a strong quantitative background and experience in commodities being ideal, but anyone from a wider markets background will feel at home.
