An institutional investor with a track record of growing and scaling FX businesses. You will grow into a leader, mentor more junior quants, and implement your strategies across FX markets. This small but robust proprietary trading firm-turned hedge fund is investing significantly into their FX trading effort. It’s a fully automated trading system that trades across various mid-frequency products, but you will focus on a brand new FX build-out.
There are all kinds of growth potential here, with the growth of the business in London accelerating over the past few years. As a mentor, you’ll have the chance to grow into a leader if this is something you desire. With that, of course, will come the chance to earn expected first-year total compensation of around £1m.
You’ll be given plenty of freedom to produce your own research of new signals and you’ll be given the full support to implement them within the centralised and collaborative research effort. You’ll also be encouraged to look at current strategies in production, suggest improvements, and make suggestions on other markets where your strategies can be used. Improvement and progression are a way of life here.
In terms of your experience, you’ll need to be a seasoned quant researcher or trader covering FX options. You will be building the FX business, so no specifics in what you’ll be bringing outside of specific FX trading or research. This is a fully systematic shop, so you’ll need to have a strong quantitative background with the codebase predominantly in Python/Java, so setting up the infrastructure will need to complement this.
You’ll get access to all major brokers and have an industry-leading tech team to support your plans to scale significantly ($100's million). This is a global firm with a history of success of over 15 years. They’re focused on teamwork and collaboration and insist that ideas are shared between teams, understood, and then put into production. You can be part of a close-knit environment where everyone is keen for you to succeed.
First-year total compensation is expected in the range of £1 million but there could be flexibility on this depending on previous performance and experience. Ready to make the next step in your career and build a business for yourself? Get in touch.
