You build and scale the global low latency trading platform that keeps this firm ahead. This is a prop trading firm operating across major financial hubs worldwide. The engineering culture is relaxed, the technical challenges are serious, and strong performance gets recognised fast. You get real ownership from day one.
You work across a global on-prem infrastructure spanning multiple data centres, handling bare-metal and Kubernetes environments. Performance monitoring, incident response, storage, databases, testing, and continuous platform improvement using open-source tooling are all part of your day. Latency is measured in microseconds here. Reliability is not optional.
You collaborate with distributed teams globally and play a real part in shaping how the platform evolves. This is not a role where you maintain what someone else built and call it a day.
Three days a week you are in the office, which is a good balance for the kind of deep work this role demands. When you are in, breakfast and lunch are fully catered, so you can stay focused without thinking about food.
On the technical side, you bring deep Linux expertise across RHEL and Debian, strong Ansible automation skills, and a solid understanding of networking, storage, kernels, and filesystems. Kubernetes is part of the stack and you are comfortable there. You are pragmatic, hands-on, and you do well when things move quickly.
This is a senior role and it suits someone who has been around complex infrastructure, seen things break at scale, and knows how to keep a high-performance platform running and improving.
