This is a proprietary trading firm with an engineering culture built around ultra-high performance. You will take ownership of the Windows estate and lead its modernisation from the ground up. You are not inheriting a finished product. You are shaping the architecture, making the design decisions, and driving the roadmap forward.
You will lead a small team of Windows engineers day to day, setting direction and raising the standard of work across the board. You will still be very much hands-on where it counts, and you will create space for your team to do their best work. The environment is fast, technical, and genuinely collaborative. Trading firms at this level do not tolerate slow infrastructure. You will be working with people who take performance seriously and expect the same from the systems you run.
Automation is prioritised across the business, so naturally, experience driving automated initiatives will set you up well for this role.
