Head of IT Services / End User Technology Lead - Leading Hedge Fund – London A leading global multi-asset investment firm is looking for a Head of IT Services to lead and evolve its IT Support and End User Technology function from its London office.
This is a business where technology is the backbone to operational succuss.
A large proportion of the firm sits within engineering, infrastructure, and quantitative development, all operating in a fast-paced, high-performance trading environment where reliability, speed, and precision matter down to the millisecond.
You’ll step into a role with real ownership and no fixed blueprint.
The opportunity is to take a strong existing function and shape it into something truly best-in-class.
You’ll assess the current landscape, define the direction, and build a modern end user and IT services capability that sets the standard for the business.
Day to day, you’ll lead the full IT Services and End User Technology estate across desktop support, IT Operations, and the overall user experience.
You’ll be accountable for performance and stability, ensuring the people running and supporting the business have frictionless access to the tools they need to perform at the highest level.
Alongside this, you’ll: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing support team Drive automation and modernisation across the IT services function Lead key infrastructure and end-user technology initiatives end to end Partner closely with senior stakeholders across trading, engineering, and investment teams Manage strategic external vendor relationships This is a hands‑on leadership role in a culture that values pace, precision, and accountability.
You’ll be expected to set standards, make decisions, and continuously raise the bar.
Ideal candidates will come from a hedge fund or similar buy‑side environment currently operating in a Head of EUC or IT Services level.
What matters most is having operated in complex, high‑performance environments and knowing what “excellent” actually looks like under pressure.
This is a fully onsite role – 5 days a week in London.
