Is your knowledge of market data not being fully used right now? Do you want to drive a market data strategy, globally? You’ve come to the right place. You’re going to be working closely with the C-Suite to craft your strategy for maximum business growth relating to market data.
There’s one other member of the team currently, so you will be required to be hands-on, get involved with talking to vendors as well as managing all aspects of the market data lifecycle within the business. This is where your background in procurement will be far more beneficial than if it were technical.
With your one direct report, you’ll cover the global landscape of the business. This may involve travel to other offices in Europe and USA. You’ll need to balance strategic, commercial and legal challenges within this position, but you’ll be supported all the way by the wider team.
As a primarily technology focused business, you’ll be more than taken care of from a technical perspective, again the reason for your procurement background being key here. You’ll need to be willing to challenge the status quo and not be afraid of speaking up when something isn’t quite right. You’ll be encouraged to bring in new ways of working and suggest better ways of using market data across the business.
If there’s a better supplier, or a better deal that can be done elsewhere, you’ll be expected to go and get it. Along with your strong procurement background building and managing strong vendor relationships, there’s a preference for strong experience working with Bloomberg, however, you’ll need to be well aware of the complete vendor landscape.
This is a hybrid environment with a relaxed dress code and an office where you’ll be taken care of from a food/drink perspective. There’s no fixed compensation range - the package will depend on you and your experience. Given there’s no fixed "years of experience" requirement the salary range can be wide. We can discuss this in full detail when you apply. That said, total compensation will be split between base salary and a performance related bonus. Benefits include private healthcare, onsite gym, enhanced maternity/paternity and more.
