Overview
Platform Engineering Team Lead at Saragossa β Creating competitive advantage for investment technology organisations. One day a week working from home, potential of a large bonus, and the opportunity to progress your career in buy-side finance.
Starting salary will be dependent on the type and level of experience, with flexibility on salary for the right candidate. Benefits include a potentially large bonus depending on experience, pension, healthcare, and an in-house chef providing various meals and much more.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second level support for applications, including detailed analysis and basic troubleshooting for issues that may be escalated to level three.
- Learn the systems and applications used in depth; gradually handle more level three issues with the potential to become a fully fledged SRE if desired.
- Participate in on-call support, including some overnight shifts (one week per month).
- Collaborate with SRE and Front Office teams on a trading floor environment.
- Support a mix of in-house developed platforms (Python/SQL automation, API data gathering) and Front Arena; Front Arena experience is not required but helpful.
- Demonstrate strong automation scripting skills and Linux system administration experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in supporting front-office financial applications; buy-side application support background is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong automation scripting skills; Linux system administration experience.
- Programming/scripting languages: Python, C#, Java (desirable).
- Ability to work with data extraction/automation, APIs, and SQL.
- Willingness to engage with multiple teams (SRE, Front Office) and operate on the trading floor where applicable.
