Help improve the resilience, automation, and observability of the production systems that power a mission‑critical quant trading platform for a global hedge fund. This isn’t a pure support role; they’re looking for engineers with strong Linux fundamentals and solid Python who can eliminate toil, modernise tooling, and automate release, monitoring and recovery processes.
You’ll own and improve build/deployment pipelines (TeamCity or Jenkins), automate operational workflows, and enhance monitoring, alerting and incident response. You’ll build tooling for deployments, health checks and runbooks while proactively monitoring trading system health and leading RCA and blameless post‑mortems.
Their environment is ~80% on‑prem and 20% AWS, with a steadily growing cloud footprint. A blend of production support plus infrastructure/sysadmin experience across hybrid infrastructure would be especially valuable.
You’ll work closely with developers, quants, trading and operations teams in a follow‑the‑sun global model, helping optimise a complex, real‑time production environment. It’s a lean, global team here. There’s plenty of scope to take ownership, modernise tooling, and influence infrastructure direction.
