The client is a well-established financial services firm in London that’s looking for a DevOps Engineer to join its Technology team on an initial 6-month contract, with potential to extend.
The role
You’ll automate and manage Azure and Snowflake infrastructure as code, run an Apache Airflow platform on AKS, and work alongside developers to deploy new full-stack applications.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and maintaining Azure and Snowflake infrastructure with Terraform and Bicep
- Automating and improving deployment pipelines in GitHub and Azure DevOps
- Designing and implementing Azure network topologies and private connectivity as code
- Managing Airflow on AKS: deployments, upgrades, scaling, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Supporting hybrid identity between on-premises AD and Entra ID with least-privilege access
- Keeping environments consistent, secure and documented, with monitoring and cost visibility
What you’ll need
- Hands-on Terraform and Bicep experience on Azure
- Kubernetes and AKS experience (Airflow is a strong advantage)
- Understanding of on-premises AD and how it integrates with Entra ID
- GitHub and Azure DevOps repos, pipelines and CI/CD
- Scripting in PowerShell, Python or Bash
