Business or Solution Architect – (Temenos / Backbase)

Location: City of London, England, United Kingdom

Hybrid arrangement: 2-3 days in office.

We are seeking an experienced Business or Solution Architect with a strong background in particularly Temenos Infinity or Backbase—to lead the design and implementation of next‑generation digital experiences for our financial services client.

The ideal candidate will combine technical architecture expertise with business acumen in Wealth Management or Asset Management, ensuring solutions align with both strategic goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end digital banking and wealth management solutions using Temenos Infinity, Temenos Transact, or Backbase platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high‑performing architectures.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to ensure solution feasibility and consistency.
• Define integration patterns with core banking systems, CRM, payment gateways, and third‑party services.
• Drive API‑first and microservices‑based architecture best practices.
• Provide technical leadership during the entire delivery lifecycle—from concept through implementation.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, security, and data privacy requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for digital innovation in banking and wealth management.
• Mentor development teams and participate in architecture governance and design reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture within banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Temenos (Infinity, Transact) or Backbase digital banking platforms.
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs (REST/GraphQL), event‑driven architecture, and cloud‑native deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience in integration architecture, including middleware, ESB, or API Gateway frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Private Banking domains.
• Understanding of investment products, portfolio management, and advisory workflows.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022, SWIFT, and other financial messaging standards.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Temenos or Backbase certification is a plus.
