Job Overview

We wish to hire an Associate/Senior Associate with at least 3–6 years post‑qualification experience in Employment law. This is an opportunity to become an integral member of the Employment Group and to assist with a broad range of high profile and complex issues arising in the employment lifecycle across the UK and internationally for our clients ranging from start‑ups to emerging multinationals and some of the biggest and best‑known global brands in the world.

Responsibilities

• Work with our global team to drive change, open new opportunities, and accelerate growth for both our clients and our people.
• Deliver exceptional results to clients by advising on:
  • Global Restructuring Projects.
  • Employee Relations.
  • Issues around Discrimination and Whistleblowing.
  • Termination of Employment.
  • Data Protection.
  • Outsourcing projects and corporate transactions.
  • Handling claims in the Employment Tribunal, High Court, and County Court.
  • Protection of confidentiality and other business interests.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor.
• Employment law specialist with experience managing restructures.
• Experience working across jurisdictions and advising international clients on multi‑country projects.
• Managed Employment Tribunal litigation up to and including hearings (advocacy not required).
• Experience in one or more areas of special interest/expertise (e.g., sector experience, NMW, worker status, discrimination, data privacy, industrial relations).
• Delivered tailored client training.
• Recognise and seize opportunities for the firm, including repeat business.
• Build and develop own network of internal and external contacts.
• Commercially astute and stays current on key legal and business news.
• Excellent communication, client relations, and team‑working skills.
• Awareness of business development initiatives in the department and ability to contribute.
• Maintain a controlled, objective, and flexible approach under pressure.
• Proactive and innovative.
• Take responsibility for ensuring continued learning and development.
