Senior Client Relationship Manager – Wealth Management

Full-Time On-site
S

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded, independent financial planning firm as a Senior Client Relationship Manager, working within a specialist team supporting ultra high-net-worth clients with complex financial affairs.

This is a genuinely client-focused role within a small, dedicated team working closely with a select number of HNW individuals and families. The emphasis is on providing a highly personal service, building long-term relationships and ensuring clients receive an exceptional experience throughout their financial planning journey.

The role

As Senior Client Relationship Manager, you’ll work closely with a senior Financial Planner and technical colleagues, taking ownership of the administration and ongoing servicing of HNW client relationships.

You’ll become a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and discreetly while keeping everything behind the scenes running smoothly.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with HNW clients and their families
  • Supporting a senior Financial Planner throughout the client and annual review cycle
  • Coordinating meetings, reviews and ongoing client activity
  • Managing new client onboarding, AML checks, Letters of Authority and documentation
  • Processing new business, withdrawals, income payments and contributions
  • Liaising with investment platforms, providers, accountants, solicitors and other professional advisers
  • Preparing valuations, review packs and supporting documentation
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant client records
  • Proactively resolving provider and processing issues
  • Managing platform administration across investments, pensions and other wrappers
  • Taking ownership of key processes and identifying opportunities to improve the client experience
  • Supporting and sharing knowledge with less experienced members of the team.

The position offers considerable breadth, covering the full client lifecycle from onboarding and reviews through to new business and ongoing servicing.

About you

You’ll already have solid experience within UK financial planning or wealth management and be comfortable managing both client relationships and the detailed administration that sits behind great financial planning.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • At least three years' experience within financial planning, wealth management administration or client service
  • Experience supporting HNW clients and senior Financial Planners
  • Strong provider and investment platform administration experience
  • Experience processing new business, withdrawals, income payments and Letters of Authority
  • A good understanding of FCA requirements and working within a regulated environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach
  • The confidence and professionalism to build relationships with sophisticated clients
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to take genuine ownership of client queries.

Knowledge of pensions, investments and tax-planning solutions including EIS, SEIS, VCT and BPR would be particularly useful.

The opportunity

This role would suit someone who has progressed beyond a traditional financial planning administrator position and is looking for greater client ownership, responsibility and scope to make an impact.

The business places significant emphasis on exceptional client service as well as individual development, with structured training, regular one-to-ones and a clear commitment to supporting career progression.

If you’re an experienced financial planning or wealth management professional who takes real pride in delivering an outstanding client experience, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.
