We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader of Music to join our Creative Faculty and deliver an outstanding curriculum in our new state‑of‑the‑art building, which includes a specialist teaching room and three music practice rooms. The role involves developing the curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4, building on the successes of the predecessor, and ensuring pupils can attend the best universities or compete for sought‑after apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of the music curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver an outstanding curriculum and ensure high pupil progress.
  • Create a strong reputation for the music programme within the school and beyond.
  • Shape a challenging curriculum to help pupils attend leading universities or secure apprenticeships.
  • Collaborate with the performing arts team and the peripatetic programme to support pupils learning to play instruments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification and experience as a music teacher.
  • Strong organisational skills and subject knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive pupil progress.
  • Completion of an Enhanced DBS check (required).
