Saracens High School is a free school that opened in September 2018 for pupils aged 11‑18, in the Colindale area of North London, serving the diverse Grahame Park community.

We are looking for a new Careers Advisor to help lead careers across the school.

In this role the successful candidate will advise KS3 and KS4 pupils, support the ‘Futures Programme’, and work closely with the Sixth Form Leadership to prepare students for their next stage in education, employment, or training.

Responsibilities

  • Advise pupils aged 11‑18 on careers, education, training and employment options.
  • Lead and develop the school’s Futures Programme.
  • Collaborate with KS3 and KS4 staff to embed career awareness and choices within the curriculum.
  • Provide guidance to the Sixth Form Leadership on post‑16 pathways.
  • Support pupils in writing applications, organising work experience, and attending career events.
  • Collect and analyse progress and attainment data to inform career interventions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or equivalent experience in a school setting.
  • Experience in delivering career education to secondary school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the values of Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty and Humility.
  • Required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
