At Saracen Care, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Team Leader. In this role, you will be enabling people with a learning disability or autism to “live their best life” – empowering people with their daily living skills and accessing the community; reaching their goals and realising their aspirations.
This role is to support the Care Manager and staff team in the day-to-day operations and to work as a proactive and effective member of the team, continuously striving towards the best possible outcomes for the PWS. The Team Leader will ensure the administrative and care needs of the PWS and monitor, mentor and guide the support team in accordance with regulatory and organisational policies and procedures. The Team Leader will perform care management duties and care and support duties and be based primarily in the community with office working as directed.

- A full UK manual driving licence
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 40 hours each week
- Previous team leader experience

- Provide emotional and practical support to the person you are supporting during their daily activities, including accessing the community.
- Assist with domestic duties & household management, which may include assistance with cleaning, cooking, washing and managing finances.

- Promote choice and independence, encouraging people we support to achieve their personal goals.
- Keep accurate records, following company policies and CQC guidelines.
- Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all individuals, adhering to safer recruitment guidelines.
- Working on shift to support and guide staff.
- Assisting the Care Manager to review and assess PWS needs and perform audits and reviews.
- To work within the boundaries of company policies and procedures to ensure high quality and consistent care ensuring the health & welfare of PWS and colleagues.
- To ensure timely and effective maintenance of all care, rota and training electronic/paper systems.
- To undertake staff performance reviews.
- To undertake staff training and competencies matters as appropriate.
- Attend and partake in training and other development activities to ensure continuous professional development.
- Partake in ‘On Call’ as part of a regular roster.
- Confirming and covering shifts where appropriate.
We hold a 10 day face to face induction which includes Positive Behaviour Support.
