At Saracen Care, we are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers. In this role, you will be enabling people with a learning disability or autism to “live their best life” – empowering people with their daily living skills and accessing the community; reaching their goals and realising their aspirations.
Rated Outstanding with CQC, Saracen Care is the provider of choice for people with general and complex needs. The people we support live with a range of conditions such as Learning Disability, Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries and can exhibit behaviours that challenge.
Please note – We can only accept applications from males for this role. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience within adult health and social care, preferably within a supported living setting. You will need to be confident and resilient as you will be supporting with challenging behaviours.

We have a pay banding system and are committed to staff development:
- Band B – £12.82 for 2+ years’ experience
- Sleep in rate £80.00
Provide emotional and practical support to the person you are supporting during their daily activities, including accessing the community. Assist with domestic duties & household management, which may include assistance with cleaning, cooking, washing and managing finances. Assist with personal care and hygiene. Be able to motivate and encourage people through positive engagement and interaction. Promote choice and independence, encouraging people we support to achieve their personal goals. Keep accurate records, following company policies and CQC guidelines. Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all individuals, adhering to safer recruitment guidelines. Able to use clear boundaries and consistent approaches to manage and de-escalate behaviours that challenge.
We have a mixture of day shifts and waking night shifts available, including early shifts, late shifts and the option to work a long day. We can facilitate full time and part time opportunities.
