ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant, known internally as Accounting Technician, to join our team in Nuneaton. If you are passionate about moving things forward, like being hands-on to solve problems, and would be interested in supporting a team that crafts quality dairy products, then this opportunity is for you! This role would suit an early career professional who is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to learn and develop from experienced co-workers.

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Being responsible for timely recording of cheese consumption and ensuring all stock is transacted correctly through the system.
  • Collating and recording timely and accurate production information on a daily / weekly basis for the Prepack lines in the factory.
  • Producing accurate and timely weekly factory wastage reports for operational analysis and to drive performance improvements.
  • Assisting with the management and the integrity of stocks for the Prepack factory, including Cheese WIP, Finished Goods produced and packaging.
  • Producing accurate and timely weekly reconciliations for production through the Prepack factory, ensuring the site operates within its budgetary constraints.
  • Creating a close working relationship with Operational teams running the lines to ensure the material data recorded is accurate.
  • Supporting with weekly agency timesheet reconciliation, producing accurate reports to ensure agency pay is accurate to hours worked.
  • Managing the PO process for areas of the Prepack factory, ensuring that all orders are raised and receipted on a timely basis to ensure that purchase invoices are processed correctly first time (Overheads / Engineering Spares Orders / Agency labour).

YOU’RE BEST SUITED TO THIS ROLE IF YOU ARE…

  • Studying or starting to study towards a financial professional qualification AAT/CIMA/ACCA.
  • Experienced in working in a Finance Team.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel to advanced level (plus experience of AX Dynamics will be an advantage).
  • Able to liaise with all levels of staff and management.
  • Good with time management.
  • A team player.
  • Able to work within tight deadlines in a financial environment.
  • Willing to challenge and develop factory process improvements where necessary.
