At Saputo Dairy UK, we’re passionate about delivering high-quality dairy products while driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing sites. We’re looking for an Engineer to join our Kirkby team, playing a key role in keeping our operations running efficiently and reliably. If you’re a proactive, hands-on engineer with FMCG experience and a passion for improving performance, we’d love to hear from you.
Shift pattern: 4-on 6-off - day/night (12hr shifts)
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
- Driving equipment reliability, efficiency, and productivity through proactive and reactive maintenance activities
- Minimising downtime and improving line performance through reliability-centred engineering and asset care systems
- Supporting the delivery of site OEE targets by maintaining and improving equipment availability
- Ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained, serviced, and calibrated to meet safety, legal, and quality requirements
- Prioritising and executing engineering activities to support production plans and operational targets
- Working cross-functionally with Production, QA, and HSE to ensure site-wide performance and compliance
- Communicating key engineering issues and actions clearly across shifts and teams
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU…
- Hold a recognised engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC (or equivalent)
- Have significant engineering experience ideally in a FMCG environment
- Bring knowledge of high-speed processing and packaging equipment
- Are confident with fault finding, diagnostics, and problem-solving in a fast-paced production setting
- Have experience using asset management / EAM systems
- Understand health & safety, food safety, and compliance standards within manufacturing
