Position Overview
The Whey Process Operator (WPO) is a key role for ensuring the high quality of product being processed.
The operator utilises computers to control machinery parameters, runs ongoing checks for key metrics, records data on systems and performs manual responsibilities such as pipe changes, carrying and cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a process plant component to the required quality and process standards.
- Implement the production plan and monitor compliance against the plan.
- Ensure required samples are taken for testing by the technical department.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working with computer systems in a similar role.
- Hands‑on knowledge of gauges, pressure valves, meter readers and related equipment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn the technical aspects of processes.
- Demonstrated understanding and compliance with food standards (GMP, health & safety).
