Quality Auditor
Kirkby
SDUK\’s brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.
We are looking for a Quality Auditor to join our Kirkby site. This broad role involves working in an environment where we produce and package a range of butters, spreads, and oils. Responsibilities include quality control of raw materials, conducting checks and audits across the site, and taste panels. The role works across production and laboratory environments.
You will support the training of new joiners and work within an autonomous environment.
You will ensure the QMS is up to date, complete reports, identify and communicate trends, and participate in audits (BRC, GMP, glass & plastic, retailer).
The position reports to the Quality Supervisor and involves shift work, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as per business needs.
- Conduct tests, take samples and swabs, and perform environmental sampling
- Maintain site CCPs
- Conduct audits
- Collaborate with other departments (operations/production, engineering)
- Support NPD activities
- Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits
- Experience in food production environments; knowledge of packaging processes is a plus
- Knowledge of current UK regulations and legislation
