Join Saputo at our centre of excellence in Nuneaton. We process and package some of the nation’s favourite cheeses – Cathedral City, Davidstow and Wensleydale. As part of our engineering team you will work on both mechanical and electrical requirements, bringing strong fault‑finding methodologies and expertise. The plant is currently undergoing significant investment in new lines, providing abundant opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain multiple lines of automated systems, slicers, scales, bagging, sealers and packaging equipment.
  • Optimise line performance to meet and exceed KPIs in equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure appropriate information on plant performance is captured and recorded.
  • Complete maintenance activities to drive a predictive approach to tasks and prevent equipment failures.

Qualifications

  • A multi‑skilled engineer with an HNC or HND background.
  • Hands‑on reactive experience with a broad range of equipment and machinery within a production and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in fault‑finding with PLCs (nice to have, not a prerequisite).
  • Working experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Experience working within a TPM environment.
  • Comfortable using CMMS and able to interpret data to increase plant efficiency and identify top losses.

Shift Pattern and Salary

  • 4 on/4 off – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off etc.
  • Day shift: 06:45 – 19:00.
  • Night shift: 18:45 – 07:00.
  • Salary: £57,371 + site bonus scheme up to £800 per annum.
