At Saputo Dairy UK, we're committed to delivering the highest quality dairy products while continuously improving how we operate. We're now looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Kirkby site, playing a key role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing performance.

Shift pattern: 4-on 6-off - day/night (12hr shifts)

YOU'LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY...

  • Driving equipment reliability, efficiency and performance through proactive and reactive maintenance
  • Supporting production teams to deliver performance targets, focusing on right-first-time fixes and minimising downtime
  • Maintaining plant and equipment to ensure safety, legality and product quality standards are consistently met
  • Playing a key role in improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across production lines
  • Identifying root causes of performance issues and implementing practical, sustainable solutions
  • Ensuring all engineering work is carried out in line with safe working practices and GMP standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance processes, systems and team capability
  • Working collaboratively with operations, technical, HSE and external contractors to deliver site objectives
  • Contributing to shift handovers, reporting and communication of key engineering issues
  • Supporting the development of others through coaching and knowledge sharing within the engineering team

YOU'RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU...

  • Are a time-served engineer with experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Hold a HNC / degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
  • Have strong knowledge of production equipment, maintenance systems and fault-finding techniques
  • Demonstrate strong teamworking and communication skills, engaging effectively across all levels
  • Have a good understanding of health & safety, environmental and food hygiene standards
  • Bring a proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and problem-solving
