This is a role that is key in ensuring the engineering team continues to operate as efficiently as possible, offering valuable support to the engineering senior manager, engineering planner, maintenance leads, and other administration staff when required. Part of this support will include risk assessments, SOPs, safe systems of work, assisting the coordination of engineer training, PO management. The engineering team utilises KPIs, and you’ll be supporting the team record and track these. You’ll also offer support for engineering team’s third party service contracts, monitor site work requestor logs, and progressing jobs to the EAM system, filing and digitising documents, maintain control of compliance certification, and set up new suppliers.
This role is a 9-month FTC
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY...
- Providing support to engineering department to meet customer and company policies and compliance, including all relevant documentation
- Supporting engineering department annual contracts, creating new suppliers and managing documentation
- Ensuring audit readiness through document control
- Taking responsibility for generating PO, receipting and monitoring spend against budget
- Monitoring engineering jobs on the work requestor and raising work orders for new requests
- Providing support with training, and understanding the latest tools and techniques
- Supporting planning requirements when department planner is on annual leave
- Supporting with document control, permits to work systems, and contractor control requirements
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE...
- Experienced in an engineering administration role and proficient using a CMMS, ERP, and have general high computer literacy
- A good communicator with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to work in a calm and controlled manner in a fast-moving environment
- Motivated by the challenge of continuous improvements
- Able to demonstrate good budgetary control skills and strong numerical aptitude
- A strong planner with analytical skills and can demonstrate an understanding of document control
