YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY COMPLETING...
A 4-year academic and on-the-job apprenticeship to achieve the Food and Drink (Multi-skilled) Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship Level 3. Included in the 4 years is off-the-job engineering training at Midlands Group Training Service (MGTS) in Coventry. You will spend 20 weeks doing this classroom training in year 1, 14 weeks in the second year, and 6 weeks in the third year. The fourth year is spent consolidating learning and preparing for the End Point Assessment.
This apprenticeship also consists of:
- OAL Level 3 Maintenance Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical)
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Award in Food Safety level 3, and Principles of HACCP based Food Safety level 2
- Access to the latest technology in a purpose-built training facility equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, dairy technology and software control systems
- Potential to study to a higher level e.g. HNC or Degree on successful completion
YOU’RE BEST SUITED TO THIS OPPORTUNITY IF YOU HAVE...
- At least three GCSEs including Mathematics at Grade B/level 6 and above, and English Language Grade C/level 5 and above
- A-level Maths or A-level Science would be highly desirable
- A keen interest in developing a career within Engineering and the food industry
- The determination to commit to a four-year period of study and hard work
