Being an Agronomist with AG Warehouse:
We’re seeking an experienced Agronomist to join our growing Rochester team and work alongside our current longstanding senior agronomist. This is a hands-on role where you’ll provide knowledgeable on-farm recommendations across fertiliser, broadacre, and pasture cropping, with the opportunity to have some customer introductions with the current agronomist while developing your own relationships.
You’ll be working closely with existing and new clients to deliver tailored agronomic solutions that drive productivity and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored agronomic advice aligned with clients’ production goals.
- Conduct on-farm assessments and provide recommendations for fertiliser, pasture, and broadacre cropping.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Stay current with agronomic trends, technologies, and product developments.
- Help to continue to build and lead the agronomic business and be an integral member of the team
About You:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in agronomy, preferably in pasture and/or broadacre.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience with on-farm recommendations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- An interest or experience or mentoring a junior agronomist, would be highly desirable.
