Saputo Dairy UK (SDUK) is proud to be the name behind some of the nation’s most loved dairy brands, including Cathedral City – the UK’s favourite cheese – as well as household names like Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, and Utterly Butterly. Our portfolio also includes functional ingredients and a growing range of dairy-free products.
Following a major investment in our Nuneaton site, our cheese packing site, which has seen the addition of 13 new packaging lines, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Shift Manager (internally known as a Shift Lead) to join our expanding team and make a real impact.
Our Nuneaton facility is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, equipped with a wide range of technologies that allow us to pack both branded and private label cheese products in multiple formats – from snacking portions to sliced, grated, and block cheese.

Shift Pattern: 24/7 rostered working days & nights = 165 shifts per year.
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
- Leading and motivating a team of 50 to deliver production targets efficiently and safely across 13 production lines.
- Driving operational excellence by minimising waste, maximising line uptime, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Acting as a key decision-maker during shifts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proactive planning to avoid disruptions.
- Championing Saputo’s values, Inclusive agenda, and Manufacturing Performance System (MPS) to build a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE…
- Experience in a manufacturing industry, including a production management role.
- Strong knowledge of and experience using Lean tools (e.g., SIC, 5S, GEMBA), HACCP, and health & safety standards (IOSH, Intermediate Food Hygiene).
- Proven leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills, with a hands-on approach to manufacturing and continuous improvement.
