SDUK's brands include the Nation's favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products. Due to a secondment to focus on the further expansion of operations at our Nuneaton site, a role has become available on a fixed-term basis to manage the materials flows into the site for core business and product pipeline.
Whilst ensuring robust stock holding policies and minimising stock write-off, you will utilise your MRP experience to support with the management of stock supplies for 10 production lines which will deliver 10k tonnes of cheese across ~100 SKUs. As a strong communicator, you'll be working closely with stakeholders internally and externally at all levels, with additional exposure to NPD projects and artwork changes.
Working pattern: M-F (on-site) 12-month fixed term contract (FTC)
YOU'LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY:
- Managing stock levels and minimising material write-offs, reporting on delisting and obsolete stock
- Working towards achieving 100% service level for the site and achieving cost-effective material stock levels
- Supporting project delivery from a materials perspective from Gate 0 to Gate 3
- Supporting material and/or product changes coming to sites, collaborating with broader teams to deliver in line with project timelines and budgets
- Building and maintaining supplier relationships, chasing overdue POs, and dealing with invoice queries
- Monitoring supplier performance on a monthly basis against KPIs
YOU'RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE:
- Experienced in a materials or supply chain management position with a focus on relevant products (packaging materials highly advantageous, but not a prerequisite)
- Able to utilise sound logic to present findings in an orderly fashion
- Able to communicate with stakeholders and influence on supply matters
- Experienced in challenging and supporting challenges to ensure an effective supply chain
- Comfortable with MRP infrastructures (Excel, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics etc)
