The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.
This is a key role within a production environment where we primarily make a range of dairy-free products, including Sheese, Cathedral City products, and retailer own brands. After the day of production, there is a requirement for methodical deep cleaning of the various lines and pieces of equipment used within the processes before we can produce again the next day; it is important we ensure high levels of hygiene.
This work will include:
- Ensuring equipment is secure and safely turned off
- Taking machinery apart
- Using different cleaning products and chemicals
- Conducting some environmental tests
- Organising equipment to be put back together in the morning for production to start the next day
Shift pattern: 6pm to 2.40am OR 10pm to 6.40am
You’ll make contributions that matter by:
- Completing specialist levels of cleaning of food production and packing areas
- Dismantling expensive machinery and cleaning machine parts
- Reassembling machinery and completing hygiene checks
- Preparing area and equipment for the next day's production
- Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff
- Following strict policies and procedure guidelines to ensure work is carried out to a high standard
You’re best suited for the role if you are:
- Experienced working within an environment where high-care cleaning is important
- Able to carry equipment up and down ladders
- Experienced with hygiene standards within a production and/or food preparation environment
- Good with practical work
- Able to work quickly and methodically whilst following correct procedures
- Able to work alone and maintain your own quality control
- Able to understand and follow detailed procedures
- Aware of Health and Safety
- Able to identify and solve problems
