As a Supervisor, You Will Be Responsible For:
- Conduct a risk assessment per activity in order to mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct interim inspections to monitor and ensure adherence to safety and quality specifications.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis/Incident investigations for all incidents and near misses in the workplace.
- Provide informal safety training to employees and be proactively involved in ensuring that proper practices are observed in the workplace.
- Conduct weekly safety talks and provide weekly reports on risk issues.
- Conduct scenario emergency drills monthly.
- Perform safety inspections in locations including job sites, buildings and company vehicles.
- Assist with Man-Job analyses and fit required PPE.
- PPE: co-ordinate annual purchase, issuing and training on use thereof.
- Co-ordinate SHE activities per activity area.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure contractors & other stakeholders comply with safety requirements.
What are we looking for?
- Grade 12 and/or NQF level 4 certificate as a Supervisor will be preferred.
- At least two years’ experience in a Nursery/Forestry/Manufacturing environment.
- Previous Supervisory experience is essential.
- NOSA, Health & Safety Courses are advantageous.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
