The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets. Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders. Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature. Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools. Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio Zero (right first time). Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs. Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance. Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times.
Rotating shifts: 05.00–13.30 and 13.00–21.30 (pay £21); Sunday to Thursday 10:00–18:30 (pay £21); 1 in 3 Sundays time and half.
The Person:
- City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential.
- Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs.
- Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives.
- Safety awareness and a commitment to a right first‑time ethos.
- A flexible and can‑do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on one’s own initiative.
- HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred.
- Experience with Tail lifts is desirable.
