We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond! We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Administrator to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives. Due to a contract win we are looking for applicants all around the Yorkshire Regions.
Location: Bradford
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
About the Role
Responsibilities - but not limited to:
- Working alongside the Senior Commercial Analysts (QS) ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records.
- Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales.
- Ensure change control process is managed effectively, including production of early warnings/variations, maximising entitlement.
- Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.
- Accept extra duties as situations arise.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial.
- Able to work in a team.
- Advanced Excel skills essential.
- Previous experience and knowledge of utilities.
- We are looking for a candidate who is looking to enhance their career within a Commercial environment.
- The role would be suited to a candidate who has strong advanced Excel skills and comes with a Financial background.
- If you have studied Quantity Surveying or have worked in a Commercial Department this would be advantageous.
