Sapphire Utility Solutions are delighted to announce that due to an increase in requirements on our United Utilities waste water contract, we are seeking several Site Managers to oversee our reactive Bucket 1 HGV Operations. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the crews which will include the planning and execution of the works. The main purpose of this role is to drive performance and productivity along with health and safety compliance.
Hours: 50 hours per week, 06.30am-16:30pm, Monday to Friday
Company Car or Allowance: worth £4,200 per annum
Overtime: paid at time and a half
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver all aspects of planning and operations.
- Management of the operatives reporting into them.
- Liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and other interested third parties regarding past, present, and future works.
- Provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessments and coaching to ensure gangs are performing to our sufficient company standards.
- Perform quality on-site assessments checks (x8 Audits per month, minimum 4 onsite audits).
- Comply with relevant company HSEQ and welfare policy provisions.
- Ensure all regulatory data and job specifications are checked and fed back to a high standard.
- Ensure all operative training records and ID Cards records are kept up to date – liaising with the training department.
- Ensure all timesheets are submitted within the timescales set by payroll.
- Ensure all operatives driving company vehicles adhere to company policy, where necessary interventions to be carried out to coach or take disciplinary action against offenders that is relevant to the offence committed.
- Overseeing a rota for Operatives.
Management Skills: the ability to supervise and lead crews
Systems: competent in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Thorough knowledge of H & S policies/procedures and safe systems of work.
