Are you organised, hands‑on and experienced in stores or stock control? Do you enjoy keeping things running smoothly and making sure the right parts are in the right place at the right time?
Sapphire is looking for a reliable and detail‑focused Stores Person to take ownership of its site‑based stores in Ipswich.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in keeping things organised and understands how important accurate stock management is to a busy engineering and service team.
You'll play a key role in making sure engineers have the parts, materials and equipment they need to get the job done.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the day‑to‑day running of the stores, keeping everything organised, safe and secure.
- Receive, check and book in deliveries, ensuring orders are accurate.
- Pick, issue and record parts and materials for engineers and installation projects.
- Carry out regular stock checks, investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate records using JobLogic.
- Monitor and replenish engineers' van stocks to keep them ready for work.
- Help plan and coordinate materials for larger installation projects, working closely with procurement.
- Ensure hazardous materials are stored and handled safely in line with COSHH and DSEAR requirements.
- Maintain compliance records and produce stock and usage reports.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in stores, warehousing or stock control.
- Good working knowledge of COSHH and DSEAR regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence managing stock records and balancing multiple priorities.
- A practical, proactive approach and the ability to work well with others.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have:
- Experience in HVAC, refrigeration or facilities management.
- Familiarity with JobLogic or engineers' van stock management.
- Experience coordinating parts for installation projects.
- Forklift or manual handling certification.
