A globally respected strategic communications consultancy is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its London team. Working at the intersection of business, media and politics, the firm advises some of the world's most prominent corporate brands across a wide range of high-stakes situations, from financial transactions and capital markets activity to reputation management and crisis communications. With a strong focus on financial communications alongside broader corporate and campaign work, this is a firm that operates at the highest levels of client engagement.
The Senior Consultant will sit at the heart of client relationships, providing strategic counsel, driving integrated communications strategies and contributing to the growth of an ambitious and expanding practice.
Role- Provide strategic communications counsel to senior business leaders across financial communications, corporate communications, reputation management and campaign strategy.
- Advise public markets clients on capital markets issues including capital raising, investor relations, shareholder activism, earnings and financial reporting, M&A, IPOs and special situations.
- Support private markets clients on transactions, fundraising, corporate narrative and special situations across private equity and alternative investment.
- Lead and contribute to end-to-end integrated campaigns, from insight and strategy development through to activation and measurement.
- Draft high-quality communications materials including briefing documents, messaging frameworks, narrative development, content plans and multi-touchpoint communication strategies.
- Develop and expand client relationships, identifying growth opportunities with existing clients and extending the firm's reach with new business.
- Manage and coordinate projects and workstreams, maintaining quality of output across multiple concurrent mandates.
- Support and develop junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Proven experience in strategic communications with a background in agency environments and exposure to large multinational businesses.
- Strong financial communications expertise, including experience working with UK PLCs and private capital clients.
- Sound knowledge of investor relations and capital markets.
- Established relationships with financial media and a clear understanding of the financial press landscape.
- Experience managing issues and navigating reputational challenges.
- Analytical and intellectually rigorous, with familiarity with industry tools such as Pulsar, Factiva, Quid and generative AI platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with fluency in English essential and additional language skills an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership experience across teams or workstreams, with a collaborative approach to delivering client value.
