A well established venture capital business with a substantial and growing portfolio of consumer, business services and technology companies is seeking a Marketing and IR Associate. The firm has built a strong reputation for its investor-facing distribution, working closely with wealth managers, financial advisers and platforms to support its ongoing fundraising activity. This is a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that values initiative and a proactive mindset, and the role offers genuine breadth across marketing, investor relations and comms.

The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing function to help execute fundraising, investor engagement and brand strategy, acting as a key link between investment objectives and fundraising activity.

Role
  • Manage updates to the annual fundraise presentation deck
  • Maintain and update portfolio image and logo libraries across shared drives
  • Draft and manage content across LinkedIn and Instagram, tailoring posts to the relevant audience
  • Keep the website up to date, including fundraise figures, personnel information and portfolio content, liaising with the web agency on backend changes
  • Draft compliance sign off for marketing collateral and maintain proper documentation
  • Support the organisation and management of events for founder and adviser audiences
  • Assist with the creation of marketing collateral, including newsletters, brochures and marketing emails
  • Draft cover letters and statutory investor communications, such as annual statements, prospectuses and financial statements
  • Proofread PR articles ahead of manager and senior leadership review, and liaise with journalists
  • Produce quarterly updates for corporate finance advisers and monthly adviser email updates on portfolio and fund news
  • Build relationships with financial advisers by phone, supporting illustrations and investor relations
  • Send weekly external fundraise updates to key contacts, covering funds raised, allotted and committed
  • Develop and maintain tailored sales decks and materials for adviser meetings
  • Maintain and optimise investor data within the CRM, ensuring accuracy across records
  • Produce and distribute the weekly subscription tracker, including data consolidation and fundraise comparisons
Requirements
  • Proven experience in marketing, PR or IR within a financial services, VC or Tech environment and, with an interest in venture capital or brand management
  • Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Client focused and relationship driven, with a creative and professional approach
  • Good financial acumen and comfort with investment concepts
  • Skilled in CRM, sales or marketing platforms such as HubSpot
  • Able to translate ideas into compelling content and present complex information clearly
  • Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Detail oriented, well organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
