Salary: FTE: £25,185 - £25,989 per annum Pro Rata: £22,511 - £23,649 per annum, including an allowance for holiday pay

Role Overview

Learning Support Assistants play a vital part in delivering high-quality SEND provision across the Academy. Deployment may include:

  • In-class support
  • Small-group or 1:1 interventions
  • Working within specialist Nurture classrooms, the Cognition Learning Base, or the SEMH Base

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The professional competencies expected of an LSA are:

  • The ability to communicate clearly and tactfully using appropriate methods and an awareness of the impact of your own communication on others;
  • Able to maintain positive relationships with all and able to work as an effective and flexible part of a team; willing to change methods of work and routines to benefit the team;
  • Be able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure;
  • Demonstrate high levels of resilience and adaptability when working with students who may present complex learning, behavioural, social, emotional or medical needs;
  • Be able to adapt approaches, routines and strategies in response to changing circumstances individual student needs and the wider demands of the school environment;
  • Able to demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills;
  • Willingness to accept responsibility for your own actions;
  • The ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges.
